Building Insurance Coverage

Since 2018, Coronado Village HOA has carried Master Property Insurance (MPI) on the building's structural exterior only. To cover the interior unit, the type of policy typically sought by townhome owners, at minimum, is referred to as a "Unit Owners Policy". Most insurance companies offer Condo & Townhouse insurance, which generally insures the interior walls, drywall, wallpaper, paneling, flooring, carpeting or built-in cabinets. A sufficient level of Loss Assessment coverage is also an essential part of the owner's policy. The HOA provision of MPI does not imply that the HOA covers all maintenance of the structural exterior. The HOA maintenance responsibilities are limited and specified in the Coronado Village HOA Covenants.
